- Estimated Salary Range: $54,023 to $70,246 not including Holiday Pay Compensation

Brief Description: As a Fire Lieutenant, you will play a crucial role in providing rapid fire suppression response to protect life and property in our community. This includes driving fire apparatus to emergency scenes, operating fire pumps, conducting rescues, and maintaining firefighting equipment. In addition to these responsibilities, you will have the unique opportunity to mentor and train firefighters to excel in serving our residents.
Essential Functions:
- Drive fire apparatus to emergency scenes, ensuring swift response and safe practices.
- Operate fire pumps, calculating fire flows, and regulating water pressure to effectively combat fires.
- Conduct rescues and utilize fire suppression equipment to mitigate emergencies.
- Provide leadership and direction to firefighting personnel during emergency situations.
- Maintain and operate fire apparatus, ensuring readiness for all responses.
- Educate the community on fire safety and emergency preparedness through outreach efforts.
- Mentor and train firefighters to uphold the highest standards of service and professionalism.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of fire service experience.
- NC Firefighter certification.
- NC Hazardous Materials Responder 1 certification.
- NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications.
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training certification.
- NC EMT-Basic certification.
- NC Emergency Vehicle Driver certification.
- NC Driver Operator-Pumps certification.
- NC Driver Operator-Aerial certification.
- NC Class B Driver’s License.
