Board of Directors Election Notice
On August 11, 2026, at the annual meeting of the corporation, which will include an overview of the fire department’s activities, accomplishments and future projects, there will be an election to fill the positions of two directors whose terms are expiring. Those elected will serve a three-year term.
To comply with the current corporate bylaws, one director must reside in the former Stony Hill fire district, and one must reside in the former Bay Leaf fire district. Three residents have volunteered to serve on the board.
Candidates seeking the former Stony Hill fire district seat:
- Charlie Brown – incumbent
- Willie Hall
Candidate seeking the former Bay Leaf fire district seats:
- Griff Bartlett – incumbent
(The board Nominating Committee has recommended the election of the two candidates whose names are underlined. Nominations from the floor may also occur on the evening of the election expanding the candidate list further.)
Any tax paying resident of the fire district may attend the meeting and cast a ballot in the election.
Candidate Information
To help voters select the candidates they would want to see elected, the candidates have submitted answers to a questionnaire meant to inform the voting public of their qualifications to serve. The forms are attached.
